Accommodation Details

The vacation property has 8 houses and cabins, accommodating from 4 to 20 people. The mountain homes and cabins have heat and air conditioning, screened porches, fireplaces, hot tubs, decks, phones, TV's and VCR's, and fully-equipped kitchens with dishwashers, coffee makers, microwaves, dishes, and pots and pans. Linens and towels are provided.

Dogs are allowed for $20 per day. No smoking please.

Surroundings

Opossum Creek Retreat is nestled in the hardwood forests of West Virginia's New River Gorge just minutes from the New River Gorge National Park. The New River Gorge is full of wonderful things to see and do. From white water rafting to historic coal mining towns, the sites and adventures are almost limitless. The houses and cabins are in a great location that is private and secluded, but with with easy access to all nearby area attractions.

Nearby activities include bird watching, biking, hiking, rafting, exploring state parks, fishing, visiting historic sites, climbing, horseback riding, skiing, golf, tennis, boating, and enjoying the beautiful country. Fall's colors will delight anyone.

Fayetteville, with its great restaurants and shopping, is just 5 miles away. Fayetteville was rated by Outside Magazine as one of the top towns in the country.
