Rental Rates and Seasons

The New York vacation getaway cabin is available for rent all year. Rental rates are:

Weekly rates - $1400.00 from Friday to Friday all year

Daily rates - 2 night minimum - $225.00 plus prevailing lodging tax of 12.25% for stays of less than 7 days.

Advance booking for weekends not available during June, July, August - weekend bookings during those months only accepted a week prior to requested dates.

Accommodation Details

TOTALLY SECLUDED and romantic log cabin FOR COUPLES ONLY on a privately owned 3.5 acre lake which is part of an 85 acre parcel of lovely woods, hills, and streams. Share this lovely property with visiting wildlife - geese, herons, ducks, deer, and many water creatures.

The 480 sq foot cabin has a large stone fireplace (with wood) and a picture window overlooking the lake. The covered front porch has cushioned redwood furniture and hanging chairs. Cook in the fully equipped kitchen or outdoors on the gas grill or stone BBQ charcoal pit. Dine on picnic tables located at the side of the cabin or at the dock area. The cabin also has a Queen size sofa bed, phone, satellite TV, VCR, radio and CD player. Linens and towels are provided. Herb garden in season.

Pets and smoking are not allowed. The house is not handicapped accessible.

Surroundings

Remote, quiet, and totally private - the cabin is the only dwelling on "Gorham Pond" and the nearest home to the cabin is almost 1/4 mile away. A separate driveway leads into the cabin and there is good outdoor lighting.

Recreation includes swimming, fishing, golf, hiking, bicycling, and horseback riding. Nearby are good restaurants, antiquing, Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome, and historic mansions.

Hudson Valley Cabin is conveniently located near the historic towns of Rhinebeck, Hyde Park, Millbrook, Red Hook, and Pine Plains and only 2 hours north of mid-town NYC. Only 3 miles away is the town of Stanfordville which has a grocery store, pharmacy, hardware store, bank, diner, bakery, liquor store, pizza, ice cream parlor, great deli, and a fine restaurant.

"Gorham Pond" covers 3.5 acres and has a water depth of 9 feet. Fish include large mouth bass. Motors are not allowed.
