This newly built and eco-friendly modern log cabin is located on top of one of the most scenic mountain areas within the fabled Big Sky Country of Montana. This vacation rental is ideal for the harried executive who needs some time away from the pressures of work, couples who need some special time alone together, someone who wants to reconnect with nature, and also big-game hunters and fishermen. This log cabin provides outstanding year-round sporting opportunities in one of the most beautiful areas of the country. No planes, trains, sirens, or traffic --just great views and perfect peace and quiet. The cabin has all the features of home. Sleeps up to 6 people in two bedrooms, plus a sleeping loft. Includes satellite TV with 2 TVs, DVD/CD/radio, propane heater, range, full bath, and a sunken living room with wood stove will make your stay comfortable. The master bedroom also has patio doors leading to a small observation deck. The full kitchen with oak cabinets includes a coffee maker, microwave, dishes, and pots and pans. Linens and towels are provided. Two recently purchased snowmobiles are now stored at the cabin to allow you to take advantage of the 300+ miles of nearby groomed snowmobile trails. Pets and smoking are not allowed. The cabin is not handicapped accessible. SurroundingsThis rustic cabin is one of a kind. Excellent big game hunting or viewing, cross-country skiing, geo-caching, snowmobiling, fishing, hiking, and a host of other outdoor activities await you. The cabin is located on the top of the Continental Divide, within walking distance to a big game management area. Elk and deer come to the front yard to graze and black bears, bison and mountain lions are often spotted nearby. Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks counted over 1100 head of elk last September in the Elliston hunting district. There is great lake, river and stream fishing just a short drive from the cabin. This is a sportsman’s dream. This 7.3 acre site was deeded in 1893 by President Grover Cleveland, and is surrounded by the Helena National Forest. Great trail systems, including the outstanding Continental Divide Trail, are just 500 yards away, along with over 300 miles of groomed snowmobile trails. This is an end-of-the-road-property, accessed by 6 1/2 miles of forest service road, 1/4 mile private drive, gated and shared with one other lot. It is located just 10 miles off U.S. Highway 12, 30 miles southwest of Helena, overlooking Bison Valley, which is 99.9% Forest Service Land. Activities and Attractions:
