Vacation Cottage Rental Rates and Seasons

Rental months: May, June, July, Aug, Sept, Oct

Weekly rate: $795 /week
Daily (if available): $130/night

Reservations: Begin at 2:30 pm on Saturday and end on the following Saturday at 10:00 am. A $200 deposit is required to reserve the Cottage. No refunds after May 1st, 2004. Rates are based on the occupancy of two adults and their children under the age of 18.

Accommodation Details

The vacation cottage sleeps 6 in 2 bedrooms with double beds plus a sofa bed, and a has a 3/4 bath. The completely furnished cottage has heat and air conditioning, deck, phone, cable TV/VCR, radio, and CD player. The fully-equipped kitchen has a coffee maker, microwave, dishes, and pots and pans. Linens are provided. Please bring towels.

The lakefront property has a private sandy beach with a fire pit, dock, picnic table, and barbecue grill. A swimming raft, rowboat, canoe, and kayak are provided for guests.

No pets, please. No smoking in the cottage. The cottage is not handicapped accessible.

Surroundings

This charming lakefront log cabin is nestled in a beautiful and secluded wooded setting on Spider Lake, just minutes from Traverse City. Water recreation includes great swimming,  fishing, boating, water skiing, snorkeling,  and river canoeing. Fishing includes trophy salmon fishing, and stream trout fishing. Other nearby recreation includes shopping, golf, tennis, hiking, bicycling, horseback riding, snowmobiling, downhill and cross-country skiing, and hunting.

Spider Lake covers 468 acres and has a max water depth of 40 feet. Fish include bass, pan fish, northern pike, and perch. Boat motors are allowed.

Directions:
From 113 to Kingsley, turn north at blinking light. Go 5 miles to Arbutus Hill and turn right. Go to Stop sign (.07 miles), then turn right on Hobbs. Go up hill .07 miles and then take a left on East Arbutus Rd. Go 1.8 miles and then turn right on Arbutus Trail. Go one mile and now you are on Peninsula Trail. Continue about 1.1 miles, and the cabin is on your right. 525 Peninsula Trail.
