Vacation home rental rates and seasons

The Michigan vacation getaway home is available for rent from June 1 to May 15.

 * $250 for tip-up town and Christmas holidays.

Accommodation details

Newly decorated 1900 sq ft, all cedar, 2 story home with large picture windows and deck facing the lake. The 11 year old house is fully furnished with all new furniture; floors are Pergo with beautiful oriental rugs throughout. The house has hot water baseboard heat and a heated large attached garage. The house also has a fireplace, deck, ceiling fans, lots of closets, washer/dryer, cable TV and VCR. The fully-equipped kitchen has a dishwasher, coffee maker, microwave, dishes, and pots and pans. Linens and towels are provided.

The home has 3 bedrooms and a loft with 2 full baths, and sleeps 10. 

The lakefront property has a sand beach, dock, picnic table, barbecue grill, and fire pit. The vacation property also has a lake front boat house and free boat launch nearby. Limited car parking - 4 vehicles max.

Pets are allowed (renter pays for damages). Outside smoking only. The house is not handicapped accessible.

Surroundings

The home is in a quiet neighborhood setting, and ideal for water recreation: swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, trophy fishing, boating, water skiing, and canoeing. Other nearby recreation includes golf, tennis, hiking, bicycling, horseback riding, snowmobiling, downhill and cross-country skiing, and hunting. Other fun activities - shopping unlimited, go carts, water park, and putt-putt.

The home is near a marina with a lighthouse that extends far out into the lake. Boats may be rented at the marina.

Houghton Lake covers 22,000 acres and has a water depth of 22 feet. Fish include pan fish, walleye, northern pike, crappie, bluegill, large and small mouth bass. No limit on motor size.
