Vacation Lodge Rental Rates and Seasons
Khardomah Lodge is open year round. High season is
June through August. Off-season is September through May.
The Main Lodge (original cottage), has 15 bedrooms, 4 1/2 baths,
furnished kitchen, large dining room, and can sleep 37 persons maximum.
Two private suites can be rented along with the main lodge to sleep
total of 45, or suites can be rented separately. Suites have either
outdoor hot tub or indoor whirlpool tub, kitchens, fireplace, and queen
beds and sleep 2-4 each. Views of wooded dunes and a short walk to Grand
Haven's incredible State Park Beach. Rates are $900.00 per day for Main
Lodge (based on 30 guests) and $155.00 per day for each individual
suite. These are weekend, off-season rates. 7 night minimum in-season
and 2 night minimum off-season required. Deposit/credit card required

Nestled in a wooded dune a mere 200 yards from beautiful Lake
Michigan, Khardomah Lodge has been open for public lodging since 1919,
and was dedicated as a Michigan historical site in 2000.
Best described as a rambling and rustic retreat, the Main Lodge
invites groups of all kinds to gather and enjoy the simple serenity of
days gone by.
Each bedroom is uniquely decorated with quilts, antiques, and vintage
furnishings. There are 15 clean, cozy and comfortable bedrooms which can
sleep a total of 37 guests. Rooms have either: 1 Queen, 1 Full size bed,
2 Twin beds, 1 full size and 1 twin bed. Bedrooms are furnished with
linens. Bedrooms share 4 full baths and 1 1/2 bath - towels are
restocked during the stay. Guests should bring their own personal care
items, along with robes and slippers.
Main Lodge Common Areas:
The Lodge's Great Room is on the main floor and features cathedral
ceilings, a stone wood-burning fireplace, and large windows overlooking
the wooded dunes. A perfect spot for groups to gather, the great room
has even been used for meetings and small wedding ceremonies! The only
TV in the main lodge is located here, and has cable and DVD. A front
sitting room has original freshly painted white wicker furniture and is
a cheery spot for socializing or enjoying a favorite book.
The guest kitchen is fully furnished for "fix your own"
meals, including a dishwasher, microwave, commercial coffeemaker, 2
refrigerators, gas stove, dish-ware and utensils. All guests need to
bring is their own food and paper products! Many groups enjoy the option
of cooking "at home' which saves expense and time, and can build a
spirit of cooperation. However, should a group prefer to have a meal
catered in, there are many local restaurants and delis that provide this

The Dining Room is quite spacious and can seat up to 45 people.
Tables and chairs are original 1930's when the Dining Room was actually
open to the public for "Sunday night chicken dinners". No
longer operating as a restaurant, the Dining Room has 2 sets of french
doors that open to a wrap-around deck. Picnic tables extend the dining
to the outdoors. We've held many small wedding receptions here, as well
as quilting groups where the sound of sewing machines keep the lodge
buzzing with excitement!
The Private Suites offer rustic charm along with modern conveniences
and are perfect for overflow guests or for couples getaways. The outdoor
hot tub in the Hot Tub Suite is popular in the quiet winter months, when
only the sounds of birds and falling snow can be heard. The Master
Suite's wood burning fireplace and expansive wooded views are the
perfect escape from the hectic pace of modern life.
The Lodge has free Wireless internet access.
Pets and smoking are not allowed. The house is not handicapped
The Lodge is nestled in a wooded dune and is secluded and
quiet. The sandy beach on Lake Michigan is just a 5 minute walk and has
a playground area. Nearby
water recreation includes swimming, fishing, and water skiing. Other nearby recreation
includes golf, tennis, hiking, bicycling, and cross-country skiing.
Khardomah Lodge is located in Grand Haven, Michigan, a
city that was founded in 1834 and incorporated in 1867. Known for its
harbor, it's 2 1/2 mile-long boardwalk, its musical fountain, and its
lighthouses, Grand Haven has plenty to offer all visitors!
Natural beauty abounds in Grand Haven, from the Lake
Michigan shoreline to its pine forest. The "man-made"
attractions are just as attractive, from Grand Haven's tree-lined
downtown area to its many restaurants, shops and galleries! Looking for

bookstore, visit the tri-cities historic museum, or attend one of the
many waterfront concerts or music in the park!
Y center discount passes for guests - shopping,
Lake Michigan is one of the Great Lakes. Fish
include walleye, trout, and salmon.
