Rental rates and seasonsWe are currently renting for the 2007 Summer Season. The house is available from June 23 through September 1. The rental rate is $1000/week (Saturday to Saturday). A $250 refundable deposit is required to secure the rental along with one-half of the rent. Total to reserve the week is $750. Accommodation detailsThe 3-story vacation home has 2 bedrooms, 1-1/2 bathroom with shower/tub, a full kitchen with microwave, and a washer and dryer. The house sleeps 7 people with 1 double bed, a twin bed, and 2 double futon/sofa beds. The lakeside home also has a wrap around outside porch, 2 outside decks and a new dock at the shore. The home is not suitable for small children because of the 2 sets of stairs and the outside decks. There are also 2 grills – one on the deck and one large one in the yard by the picnic table). The house is fully equipped with towels, sheets, mattress pads, dishes, pots & pans, utensils. The kitchen has a full stock of spices, coffee filters, paper towels, etc. Please feel free to use, but please replace when empty. There are also supplies of toilet paper, laundry soap, cleaning agents and charcoal. The vacation home is not handicap accessible. Pets and smoking are not allowed. SurroundingsThe vacation home is secluded and quiet, and is on a 20-acre wooded site with 500 feet of shoreline on Green Lake. Sunsets will be one of the highlights of your day. The surroundings are some of the most pristine scenery you will ever view. Water recreation includes swimming and fishing. Nearby recreation includes golf, hiking, and bicycling. Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are only 30 minutes to the east, Bangor and its airport is only 30 minutes west. Green Lake is a clear glacier lake with a rocky shore. It is about 9 miles long, with a water depth of 120 feet. Fish include bass, togue, and land lock salmon. Fishing license is required and can be bought at the local store. The town of Ellsworth, Maine is 15 minutes from the house. The downtown has many unique shops and restaurants. Ellsworth also has 2 major grocery stores and a Wal-Mart.
