The Maine vacation getaway cabin is available from June 1st to September 30th.

$550.00 plus lodging tax per week.

Accommodation Details

This log cabin is perfect for that romantic getaway for two or for a small family wanting to get back to nature. The cabin, built in 2000, measures 16’ x 20’ and features an L shaped room with a separate bathroom and a screened in deck. It is nestled in a wooded area, within 300 feet from the owners residence and the nearest neighbors and only 3 miles to the center of Southwest Harbor. With private access to hiking and bicycling trails using your own entrance to Acadia National Park right outside the front door.

The cabin sleeps 4 people. There is a queen size bed and a fold out futon couch/bed combo. The efficiency type kitchen is designed for those who like to travel light. It features a dorm style fridge, cook top stove with fume hood, coffee maker, microwave and a table with 4 chairs. The cabin has a roomy bath with a shower. The whole cabin is heated and cozy for those cool Maine nights. It has hot and cold water, electricity, Satellite TV, and a stackable washer/dryer. There are 2 chairs and a small table on the screened-in deck. 

Outside features a screened-in tent with a small picnic table, a full size BBQ grill in a spacious yard with a patio bonfire pit for those relaxing evenings toasting marshmallows and star gazing. Cabin is non-smoking and not handicapped accessible. Sorry no pets.

Amenities
Owners supply bath towels, hand towels, and face clothes. Plates, bowls, spoons, forks, knives, cups, toilet paper and paper towels are supplied by the owners.  Cooking supplies (pots and pans and utensils) are also supplied by the owners.  Renters will need to bring their own bedding and sleeping pillows.

Surroundings

The cabin is nestled at the base of Mansell Mountain on the ‘Quiet Side’ of the Island with miles of hiking and biking trails out the front door. Within a short driving distance there are water activities including, swimming, snorkeling, deep sea and fresh water fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and boat rentals.  There are also other recreations such as golf, tennis, horseback riding, whale watching cruises, glider rides, Park guided tours, bird watching, lighthouse tours and galleries within a short driving distance.
