Columbine is located in northern Colorado, in Routt County.

	Columbine rests among the Routt National Forest, the Mt. Zirkel Wilderness Area, and Steamboat, Hahn's Peak and Pearl Lakes.
	In 1897 during the Routt County Gold Rush, the historic 11-acre township of Columbine was created. It became a busy center for local miners and a waystop for travelers.
	Columbine still offers much of its original character to vacationers seeking a comfortable and exciting wilderness experience.
